K&N CAI Installed

RE: K&N CAI Installed
I stopped by my local Auto Zone and bought some door molding to0 seal up the little gap I has between the intake and the box.
Here's the pics of the semi finished result. I just placed it in ther quick and crude before I went to work as opposed to actully mounting it in but it looks like the way it is I will not have to remove it and install it the right way.
Pappy, you have a PM.

RE: K&N CAI Installed
Not quite. I did not actually attach it aroung the enlarged area but it was a close enough fit between the air box and the filter itself to hold it in place pretty secure without attaching it to the hole as the outer material is attached. The door gasket material attaches similar to the cuttent material however the way the material is attached is different than the material K&N provided. Here's a crude paint image showing the difference. If I would have found some gasket material exactly like the K&N material it would have worked perfectly, however this looks to have done the job good enough as far as I am concerned.
