hows everyone doing for MPG'S? And with what mods? heard a lot of mods actually decrease your mpg...

 

Most mods will help increase MPG because you make the engine more efficient. But any time you increase an engines ability to flow more air (Intake/Exhaust) you also increase its ability to consume more fuel when you put your foot to the floor.

If your looking for the best of both worlds you must build for torque! Leave HP alone, as you build torque HP is soon to follow.

You need to chose your mods carefully with a plan... just blindly adding mods will land you in the money pit with very little to show for it.

hi guys new to the forum,and great info........now i read all of this thread and i used the search button.......i have a 4.7 2007 flex fuel[dont know if flex fuel is going to affect my mods]4x4,quad cab.....i bought this truck cuz i have some quads and need to tow them to the sand..........i think the truck runs really good but i have not towed with it jet[so not sure how it will handle a flat bed trailer with 4 300 pound quads......what i want to get an opinion on is the mods i am planning to do to my truck .also saving gas is a ++++++++++ for me....any ways heres what i plan on getting for the drive train
1/cold air intake
2/i want a full exhaust.......dont know what brand yet......something with a broad power band and good midrange
3/sct proggamer when and if one is avaliable for my 07
4/4.10 gears dont know what my truck has but i do have a tow botton on it........so would i need to change gears?and if so what would be a good gear ratio?what do you guys think?thanks
