Default RE: Top Speeds

I must admit, it's more often than not, that I "Drop the Hammer" on my HEMI. I just love the way it sounds!
I've been to the 106speed limita fewtimes... Even stumbled into the Rev limiter, a time or two!(now that's embarraskin')... Each time I wonder what she's really capable of, since I have almost two full gears left!!!!
I've driven a few powerful performance cars in my time, mostly straightline muscle cars... but I do love the sleeper qualities of this truck. Or maybe it's the looks on the other guys face when he's trying to get his import to keep up!? Sure glad I don't have to look for my "sport" mode button, just to keep up with a fullsize truck!!!
After I solve my PCM problem, maybe I'll look for an aftermarket programmer for my speed limiter......

all right here we go, been 160+ in buddies sti subaru, and around 110 in the tank. It still has plenty of rpm left just takes forever for it to get there. so what you guys think should be next maybe and exhaust and some spray or just go with a blower or turbo? fast is good. sweet more power

fastest ive ever done in my truck was only like 90mph probably. fastest ive gone thjough was 130 in my 74 charger. Had to get to that fishing hole before it got to dark lol. I was at that speed for all of about 5 seconds that car with its soft suspension did not feel safe at that speed.

Had my truck up to around 115-120. Fastest in a car was riding in my dads Supra about 165.

95 the other day following an unmarked police car not on a run. It ticks me off when they do this, so I just get behind them and drive the same speed (marked or unmarked). 95 in a 65 zone interstate the other day. Truck was as smooth as it is at 65mph.

Well, Ive had mine to 150. My Edge Evo has digital readout. Not on a public street though, out at the Boniville Salt Flats.

This old man just has to prove that he can still do it once in a while. The truck was bouncing a little on the interstate at 101. The real fear is the ticket. Here in Jersey it will cost about $600, raise your insurance $400/year for 3 years and most likely be given a 4 month suspension. Priceless
