Nice...might as well have them replace the filters since they'll have the pan off.

Yeah makes sense, thanks, do you think theyll charge me for labor on the filter change, including pan removal? HA
Wonder if i bring in a deeper pan, would they install it? theyll prob blame me and say i tried to change the pan myself and F'd up, damn slimey bastards. They did that to me before, had a bad oil leak (only 10k miles), said i prob left the old filter seal in and just put the new one on top, well when they lifted the truck, the rear main seal was leaking.

wow mines in the same place. ironically it started leaking after i took it to a local shop. I bet when they changed my tranny oil they cranked the bolts on one side instead of doin it even, they blamed it on two sets of gaskets being bad. I finally just dont care anymore. All i get is a quater size puddle about ever other two days. So its not that big of a deal. I would get it fixed and maybe put on a aftermarket finned pan or something If you have the money.

Larger pan will hold more fluid. More fluid will help dissipate the heat. Mostly an issue with towing.

they say it will reduce temp by 10-20F depending on how many extra quarts go in it. Cooler oil = longer life
also theres fins on it to help reduce heat. you can also get a larger differential cover as well, pricey 2-300 bucks and only get a .5 or 2 pints more.
