Great thread. A**hole drivers can come from any age or gender. Each age group has it's Brainiacs. When I was a young pup back in the 70's-80's, we had the 340's, GTO'S, Hemis, SS's and we had way too much fun but we never pulled stupid sh** in traffic that endangered other people's safety. Seems that these days, nobody thinks about the consequences of their actions, behind the wheel, on the road or otherwise. If they don't have to work for what they have, be it a vehicle or not, they treat it, themselves and others with less respect.

Hats off to the responsible young-uns responding to this thread. My buds and I paid for our own rides, wrenched on them ourselves (still do) and regardless of the condition of our vehicles, we had a great appreciation for what we had (still have). All I can say is keep a sharp focus on your goals in life. They may take time but it's all worth it.

that dude is an idiot. why would you do that? i baby my truck sooo much. i nvr burn out or nething. lik they said before, there is a time and place for those things. ppl of all ages need to respect their vehicles more. in general teens are retarded at driving( esp girls)but not all. im 18 and havent gotten a ticket or wreck yet thanks to God. you jus gotta be smart. not too hard..for some at least ha

 

Big hook, great point. Some of the guys on these forums are young, like myself. But as long as we keep to a respectable manner on the road, we keep everyone's lives safer. That's not to mean you should COMPLETELY obey every single law that any given county may give, however, people have to be smart when it comes to driving.

 

I think saying "I hope he dies in a crash" is pretty ridiculous, but it is obvious he needs to grow up a little bit. I'm on of those young kids on this board (22) and I have paid for all of my vehicles including this truck. I worked in college, and work a full time job now. I don't think it really has anything to do with driving a hemi, I think it has to do with a lot of people thinking they are tough and not looking at what could happen. I've seen plenty of kids in my highschool do even riskier things in their '95 riced out civic, but the few kids with nice cars in my school (daddy's or not) never did that kind of ****. Just today I opened the paper and saw some kid in Lowell MA drunk doing 90 on an off ramp and killed someone. There will always be idiots. But not all kids are stupid and act that way, and plenty of grown adults act the same.

Trust me my daughters will be taught how to drive also. Come to think about it....maybe I oughta give my sisters some lessons also.

I'm just to used to driving with one girl who seems to thinkpetal to the metal is the only way to get places, and anotherwho can't seem to stay off the rumble strips.

 

Shoot, if we just require people to actually know how to drive and take the driver's license from those who don't, we wouldn't have to build a new road for twenty years. In Florida, if you have $15, you can get a license. You don't even know how to spell kar.

 

Every girl at my skool is like pinned 24/7. I have recently been driving really good becuase I dont want to waste gas. I have to say though I do do burnoughts and donuts when its raining and In a vacant street. I wish I had a big dirt field or something to get dirt on my truck. City sucks for that. Everything else its perfect.

 

Yeah me and the older guys did some crazy stuff, but but not anymore, at least around other vehicles. We learned.

As we got older, we got wiser.

When they are young and stupid they can/do really stupid stuff and take chances not only with themselves and mommy and daddy's bought truck, but they put innocent other folk and thier vehicles in danger too.

They are not anywhere near as a good as they think they are.

Do that with the wrong guy around here and they will probably get run down and get a decent case off woopazz. They DON'T have the fastest vehicle around.

Not to mention there will not be a body panel or window that won't need to be replaced and if they get they will have atough they will have personal body problems.

THINK before you do stupid crap before you you or somebody else gets hurt, really bad.

There are some really responsible folks out there, but they were brought up right and/or they know the difference.

 

im 17 and my rpms never go above 2500 because i have to buy my own gas, and im a country boy soooo its 20 miles just to get in to town, i drive about 45 miles every day just to school and back, and if i feel like goofin around in my truck i do it out at my ranch where im only taring up my onw stuff if any at all!
