Default Driving in Tow/Haul mode

Well, I'm fed up with the normal shifting points. I'll be in traffic, going about 30-40 and the trany shifts into 5th gear!! Unless you mash the gas pedal, you're not going anywhere. So, I tried driving w/ the Overdrive off but then it never shifts into 4th. I've found that driving in Tow/Haul mode allows for more aggressive shifting, while shifting into all of the gears according to a predetermined speed; which usually is right around were I would shift If it were a manual....Im happy with this but my question.....Is it alright to drive in Tow/Haul mode all of the time? Besides the little cut in MPG, is there anything I should be worried about??

You're driving in traffic and the tranny thinks it's pulling a load. No big deal as long as you don't mind less MPG. Red

I only clock Tow/Haul mode when I am WOT.Usually when I am passing another driver on the freeway.I never use Tow/Haul from a stop.

No problem driving with it except for the mpg like you said.

When you are just cruising on the highways, just hit the button for a spell.

I drive in O/D off all the time as long as I stay under 50ish...the truck drives 100x better and the MDS stays off. Tow/Haul holds the shifts too long forme..

I like to use that option when I'm feeling "froggy" and want some more pep!

The Chevy guys call it the "Tow / Haul ***" mode. The company just shortens it to fit on the shifter[8D]
