Default lamp out indicator

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that shows an indicator light on the dash. It say "lamp out", but I've checked every light on this vehicle and they're all burning.
Can anyone help?

Check headlights, turnsignals front and back, brake lights, reverse lights, fog lights, and license plate illuminators.

Mine did that right after I got my truck. There were no lights out when the 'Lamp Out' light came on. The next day my brake light went out. I assume it can sense the voltage change or something as the bulb is about to go out.

My 02 was doing the same thing. It would do it all the time on a bumpy road. It turned out to be a bad connection on the driver side brake light.

Do yourself a favor and pick up some brake/turn signal bulbs, everytime that mine has done that one finally ended up going out.

the truck will actually sense the light is going out before it does.

Go pull the tail lights out and check the plastic circuit boards. Chances are they are shot as those years had issues with melting and shorting out

Default Lights Out

I know it probably late but I had the same problem and it was really getting to me. So I was always thinking about it. Then it finally hit me one night when someone flashed their brights at me. So i checked my brights and sure enough one was out.

Hope this helps.
