New found problem w/ truck
I had to change my oil sending sensor back in a couple of month ago, I was told by someone that the pickup screen and pickup tube might be clogged. When I put on the sending sensor it fixed my problem. Glad to hear that it fixed yours!
Oh, yea, the AC
If it does not rattle when you have it off (Also, do not have the defrosters on, have it on vent or better yet, off).... Anyhow if it does not rattle at that point I would wager a guess and say charge it. If it still rattles something is probably just loose.
Does it blow ice cold when on?

You can definatly tell its coming from it, but it works just fine...

If it did not do that before your head work I might just take it back and bitch if you can not see anything obvious. I am sure they had it off when doing the job.
Oh man..
So, the oil thing..didnt happen yesterday...until...I almost got home..[:@]Im SOO MAD!
My parents want me to sell my truck, since its causing me so many problems. Im so upset, I dont know what to do.
Ive wanted a dodge since I can remember and I was soo happy the day I finally brough it home. Now, they want me to sell it..[
]
I dont know what else to do.
My dad and uncle are the ones who took the head off and put it back together so I cant go bitch to anyone but them and theyve already said they dont want to mess with it anymore. I dont have hardly any money..I dont know who to talk to..who to take it to...Its not under warrenty and I know the dealership I got it from isnt going to help.
Its a 2002 w/ 47k miles and its falling apart!! My dad saw on some website where the oil gauge messes up then the next thing you know the engine fails. So, now he thinks my engine is about to blow at any min and wants me to sell it right away before it does.
Should I sell it? My parents wont let me get another dodge after this so i wont even bother with that...guh

go to a parts store and try a bottle of Rislone and an oil change, it may be something as simple as a piece of dirt/sludge in an oil galley. I hope you get it worked out.

Kendra, try putting A mechanical oil pressure gauge on as well. The gauge can be installed on A "T" fitting so that the accuracy of the new sending unit can be verified. Just because its a new sending unit doesnt mean its working correctly. With the mechanical gauge installed you can see actual oil pressure when the low oil light comes on. The gauge and "t" fitting should be less than 25.00 at your parts store.
I agree, flush it before you "flush it". Given the new sensor worked for a while, loose particles could have made their way back in there.
our oil pressure gauge is really not an real gauge, basically once it hits 6 or 7 psi the needle will shoot to the midway point and stays there. That's why youll never see it fluctuate.
Sounds like that truck is either a lemon or the prev owner f'd it up and cut his losses.
If you do wind up selling it, gotta say go with a toyota, sure a lot are gonna say ugh its an import, but if you bought a toyo tuck with 150k miles you would have had any issues. If you buy a standard they can last into 300k
I bought my truck new, have had a rear main seal leak (bad one), a few minor issues and a tranission leak, oh and speed sensor issues. Only at 31k miles.
