cranking tbars = not level?
Today I was cranking my torsion bars and I measured the distance between the fender and the top of the rim. In the back it was 14in and the front 12in. I have almost completely tightened the bolts and the front only went up to 13in. How many people have actually gotten their trucks level from the tbars?
I did jack the truck up when I did it but I only turned the drivers side 3.5 and the passenger 4 turns.
It doesn't look like it will go much farther though. Maybe I'll turn them some more...

two questions, can someone post a picture of what bolt im supposed to be turning, and also will that have to be undone before i do a body lift?

No need to crank down for a body lift, unlike a suspension lift, a body lift does NOT level the truck. So a good combo to have, if you can't afford or refuse to spend the $$ on a suspension lift, is a body lift with either a level kit or the front bolts cranked...
Oh, and 05Ram, something is not kosher there. I've cranked the bolts on 2 different friends trucks, and there was enough cranking room to actually get the front higher than the back. Keep in mindthough, the higher the crank, the stiffer the ride...

Measure the distance between the top of the tire and the top of the tire well. Jack the truck up and turn the bolts on each side a few cranks, regular socket is fine. Let the truck down and re-measure. Raise it back up and adjust it where you want it.
It may take a couple of ups & downs to get both sides perfect and don't be surprised if you have to crank one side more than the other for the same lift height.
That's all there is to it except you should get an alignment soon after doing it...
