Default Egg on my truck...

Some spoiled rich-kid bastard egged my truck in my driveway. They got me on the passenger side on the front, pretty much over the wheeeeeel. Problem is, I didn't notice until probably some time afterwards, and we had 90+ heat here. I tried to clean it off, but now the paint/clear coat is all faded out.

Does anyone know where I can get a good factory match of Inferno Red in a spray? The dealer has told me that all they have that they can sell is the pen-tipped thing, otherwise I have to go in their body shop ($$$). I see a bunch online, but I don't want to risk spraying something that isn't going to match...

Thanks,

Sean

Touch ups, never work! Don't try it! It will not look good or be the same color. If you want it fixed, id take it to the body shop, and get an quote, or you can make a claim on your ins, as a comprehensive, which for me, is the best bet, cause my comprehensive deductible is only $100

That kid's blood will match the Inferno Red paint perfectly.

Have the kids parents not talked about makin the kid pay it back, or do you not know who it is, cause in my house my mom would throw that kid across the room a couple times and then make his fat *** pay to fix your truck if he were her son.

Before you do anything rash, get some rubbing compound/paint restorer on it - it might just polish back up. I definitely would not use a rattle can if the rest of your paint looks good

Unfortunately I don't know who did it, otherwise I'd be banging down their door with a body shop bill. The insurance idea isn't a bad one, maybe I'll go that route. I just figured that the spray can would look better than the pen tip/brush combo, and thought I could get away easy...

You can't just spray it, even if the paint color is close which it probably won't be.

You have to sand/prep/paint color/sand/clear coat/sand/buff.

Unless you really know how to paint, don't even think about it, it'll just cost more to get fixed.

When you get it repaired, put Zaino products on it. Same thing happened to my truck and the residue of the egg washed right off and that was in 100+ degree temps.
