You might need a lot more then that. I can't remember if the 4.7 is drive by wire in that year or not. If it isn't you'll need the pedal assembly with the box, engine harness, transmission should bolt up as they both use the same transmission.
I appreciate your response that is a huge help on my end.! Ima do alittle more research now to make sure befor I go ahead with it..

I have a 2005 Ram with the 4.7 and the Getrag 238 6 speed manual trans. I'm looking to purchase a 5.7 HEMI from a 2003 complete with PCM and engine wire harness. Has anyone done this swap with a manual transmission? What other parts will I need to complete this project? Any reprogramming needed for PCM?
So they are out there then. I don't think the PCM really cares what weight rating the truck is, the electronics are all the same.
Wow theres a bunch of idiots on the transmission side of things in this old thread...
The 5.7 Hemi will bolt up to ANY small block transmission Chrysler made since the 60s!. The main thing you have to worry about is that you have the correct torque converter for balancing reasons, 5.7 Hemi engines are internally balanced, so a torque converter from a 318/5.2 Magnum would be in order.
So can I take a transmission from a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7 and put it into my 2009 dodge ram 5.7 and just a plug and play or is there wiring to mess with ?? I heard there is a mds system or something along those lines

Erm. No. It won't. Bellhousing bolt pattern changed on the hemi. Not all bolts will line up.
