That's the way it should be done. On a trailer. You didn't haul the Camaro in the bed now did ya??

Trailer's let you tow an insane amount of weight, I towed a 9,000lb boat & trailer no problems. Only 550lbs of tongue weight, even with the anemic 4.7L I didn't have any problems. I think the whole discussion is simply put: Yes, your truck will do it, BUT when you break it, man up and pay the bill for overloading your truck.

hum... No Lt rated tires... no front solid axle... whimpy rear diff... wimpy springs...
The hemi can handel it, the automatic is not geared for 1 ton, your better off renting a trailer and towing the load.

I put about 2200 lbs in mine drove it over 70 miles up and down hills at around 60 miles per hour with no problems. I drove better like that then towing about 9,000lbs.

Get a chuckle out of those that preach, then say they have done the same thing, hey its a truck, and yes there are times when every truck gets overloaded, and yes those Insurance Leaches will always look for ways out, and Yes again it is Illegal, so is transporting kids in the back of your Pick-Up now, but remember the fun we had when we did it as kids.

Dang all of a sudden society has gotten so gall darn serious.....its boring. Sheesh they would arrest Tom Sawyers Aunt, and throw Tom in Juvvy now a days. Give me the good old days where a man was responsible for his actions, only if there was a problem not a possible problem......But then I am a confessed and actual "Old Fart"

800lbs is acceptable. The 09 is rated for a payload of 1850lbs counting driver and passengers. I don't have the 08 stats in front of me.
