Rust should not be an issue. I spray painted all of the weld points on this one and spray painted the muffler as well with a high heat silver. I will check it periodically and spray paint as necessary.

Magnaflow is sweet but I just could not drop the cash on it.
I thought about the dual pipes but I tow a trailer a lot and that can get in the way. I am just excited about the throaty sound....i am pumped! LOL

That is a 3" tip that is 12" long. The muffler shop charged me $30 for the tip, which isn't too bad compared to the $50-$100 I have seen for tips online!

When I bought my 05 hemi quad cab, it already had a magnaflow muffler with resonator still in it. I love the way it sounds. Its like you said, low rpm sounds great and not very loud at highway speeds.

Keep an eye on the welds, They will rot out first. I painted mine a few times and it lasted about 5 years before the tailpipes rotted off of the muffler and it had rotted around the casing welds as well. It was on a Ford with 4 cat converters and the Dodge only has two, so it may not get as hot.
