Default Retreaded tires

Anyone know of a site for retreaded tires at 35" to 37" tall? They are cheap as hell but the site I know wont make tires 35-37 tall till 2009. Any help please. Thanks in advance. The site was treadwright.com by the way. If anyone wants 33x12.5x17 tires, they got'em for $90 a piece. http://treadwright.com/Tires-33x12_50R17_D_Mud-P78.aspx This is the link.

i am fairly sure that retreads are illegal on passenger vehicles, so unless these are for off-road only, i would stay away, and if they will offer 35-s thats cool, but due to the legality issue, there wont be many sites like this, so my guess is that youll have to wait.

Yeah, there are enough retread carcasses on the read now from Semi's. Big-O used to sell them a long time ago. Bias ply though. I would use them on the highway. If one came apart @ 70mph on the highway, you can kiss your fender or bedside goodbye!!!

This reminded me when I was driving down I-91s in VT, my trailer tire blew apart.(18wheeler) Felt like someone rear ended me and caused my trailer to fishtail roughly 10ft to one side. Sounded like a shotgun went off. Ofcourse there's 100psi in those tires. Anyways, there was a Ford F-250 in the fast lane about 3 car lengths back when this happened. The tire went right in front of him and he ran over it. When he ran over it, the front tire caught it and spun it around inside his fender well and then spit it out and then his back tire ran over it and spun it around the entire wheel well.
Well!..... I never seen so much damage to any vehicle from something like that. I wish I had a copy of the pictures I took for the insurance company. His front wheel was almost ripped off along with his front fender got torn off, his rocker panel was trashed and his rear fender was sliced in half like a can opener had at it! I cannot believe he maintained control of his truck. All I seen after the trailer went sideways was his entire truck bounce in the air about 2 foot.

I too drive an 18 wheeler and have blown a few retread tires in my time...they are illegal on passenger vehicles and personally think they shouldnt be used on semi trailers either for the very reason dirtydog mentioned...ive thrown a "gator" through a cars windshield before.

You get what you pay for. Tires are not a good thing to skimp out on.

I've seen people use retreads for years with no problems. All the problems you guys are talking about are for semi's. Heavy loads and 100 psi are a pretty rough combination at high speed. Though i've never had a tire blow on one of my rigs before. For regular cars and trucks they've been in use for a long time. If you are still skeptical then you can buy a set for the trails only. Switch them out when your done. Thrash'em, trash'em, and crash'em then put street tires back on. No biggie. So i"m still asking, anyone know where I can get retreads at 37 inches tall?
