does anyone go past the first page to get answers?
Seems like the same questions arise time and time again. There's tons of posts past the first page. Why don't people take the time to find the answers out before making another post? Lazy????
The search function is a wonderful thing.
There are usually 2 or 3 threads a day on LS rearend problems and what does this code mean. There is even a sticky up top for the codes.
Oh and I almost forgot, "what about this leveling kit????"

Just remember you were new once as well. If you want a change of pace check out the Off Topic section, brand news and discussions, ect.
I'm not saying there aren't questions that even the veteran posters repeat, but sometimes there are different ways to pose a problem so other can understand. Also, it can be refreshing for the need not to do an additional search so the topic can stay fresh and clean of cluttered posts.
I think the mods should restrict all newbies from starting threads unless they have been on the site for a certain amount of time or have so many posts! 1 month or 50 posts I feel is sufficient. That would give them time to look around and make them find their own answers!!! This would stop the "registered user" from asking ayet another LSD, Tire, or code questions.

one mistake that I admit that I made for a long time was
not using the 'search' feature
to quickly check out
a user name's past posts
.... you quickly realize some replies are not worth even a few seconds of typing
perhaps there would be a way
to make it easier
for new users
to use search for commonly desired info ?

Well most of the help they ask for is already here. They just have to open their eyes!

It was just a suggestion anyhow. No big deal.
The usual excuse when people don't search is "I just wanted a quick answer."
They somehow think posting & waiting is quicker than a search that takes mere seconds. Then there's the undeniable fact that any well thought-out and meaningful answer to their question is likely to be missed because the OP is just not going to re-post it every time the same question is asked.
I guess it's too much to ask people to read before they post. And btw, when I joined DF, I read through posts from the past year or more to see what I'd missed. I joined my first internet car club 15 years ago so I guess it's an old habit.
