I hope you all are right! I just got off the phone with the auto body shop. He said because the truck is so new and worth so much, its not likely it'll be totaled. Of course he hasn't seen it yet.

I guess totaling it will bring up a TON of other questions. What is an 08 QC Bighorn with the chrome clad package and 18000 miles worth????? I owe 16,000.00 on the truck and will need at least 10,000 for a down payment to get a new one (and stay in my payment range). There are no new 08's in the area, so I'll have to look at 09's which is ok....... UUUGH what a pain in my ****!

That doesn't even begin to touch my medical bills.

Believe it or not, I'd give anything to have not crashed my truck I was perfectly happy with that truck!

Anyway thanks for letting me vent!

Wow, that thing is jacked.
I'm glad there were no serious injuries.
It looks totaled to me.

Well my insurance company called me today and told me that my truck is totaled! Duh.... They haven't told me yet how much they are going to give me for it. I KBB'd the truck and came up with 25000.00 not including the chrome clad package and the tonneau cover.

WOW that freaking sucks! I have the window sticker here and it says the MSRP (without the other stuff) was 38000.00

Anyway, I test drove an 09 Laramie last night, which was a big mistake.

from the picture i can tell that your frame is twisted.. also the support bracket infront of the radiator is done for.. if the do fix it they will put it on a frame straightener you will still have weak spots on where the bend is on the fram it may look straight but once the frame is bent then it will never be the same. if you "god forbid" hit a pot whole hit the ditch or go down a rough road "knock on wood" it will slowly start to twist at the weakest spot. after time you will notice a pull in your steering no alignment can fix you will also notice a lean or tilt in the truck..If you do get it fixed i would recommend not pulling Heavy loads.. Good Luck

I'm not sure if your payoff is affected or not, but I ALWAYS opt for the GAP insurance anytime I finance a car. I don't want to be left upside down in a loan for a totalled car.

Glad to hear that your on the mend. Sorry about the truck. Hope you don't get screwed by the insurance. Make sure that they have every option correct before you sign off. I got screwed by my company years ago when my '92 S-10 got totalled. I knew it was totalled the moment I got out of the truck, and was in need of another set of wheels so quickly that I didn't notice that they gave me value for a 4 cyl, when I had the much desired z vin 4.3 V6.

It was amazing! I'm digging in the couch to find any extra pennies to put together for a down payment.
