I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T and I went with the chip by Jet performance products.

I know, they are pre-programed, but I didn't have to upload my OEM program and then download the new program and then program that.

And so far, when I've taken my Magnum back to the dealer for work, they haven't seem to detect the chip.

I've gain about 3 more miles to the gallon, based on my driving habits and as far a horsepower, without a dyno, I really don't know. But I know my Magnum is much quicker and I can really beat a stock Mustang GT now, more so than before. Not bad for a car that looks like a stock station wagon. Oh yea, do you remember what a station wagon looks like?

Sorry I read that part earlier, I guess what I ment was is it worth it to get the new download? Again I have not had any updates since I got it 3yrs ago. And I already thought that you were able to adjust the rev limiter to 6500, I did not think that it was something new

The previous rev limiter was 6300.

How does adjusting the rev limiter compare to the pre-set 91 tune? I thought that the tune was suppose to auto adjust the rev limiter for max performance....

If you just choose a tune and bypass options, the Flashpaq loads a programmed rev limit and wot limits (1-2,2-3). I believe it's 6200/5950/5950. With the new limits, you won't bounce off the rev limiter. That really helps at the track. There's been some good feedback about the increased limits thus far.

So what would be the best rev limiter setting performance wise now that you have increased it an extra 200rpm? I have never really messed with the rev limiter settings but if tweaking it will help get a little more performance out of it I would deffinitely be interested in downloading the new updates for it.

You'll need to mess around with the settings and find your sweet spot. Every truck is a little different.

Let us know how you like it and what you set the different settings at too. I like to hear what settings work for different people.
