Default Who does their own work?

I want to poll people on who does their own work vs bring to the dealer or a garage? I'm not talking about doing oil changes or spark plug tune-ups, but rather more involved work.

WTF happened man, it gave no polls to do??? Dammit...that sucks. ruins it all.

Where is the poll so I can place my vote? j/k

I do everything on my own other than my yearly inspection. Never been to a dealer other than to get a key once.

When it comes to the drive train I do most of my work myself with help of friend but when it comes to the engine I will take it to a dealer or someone with experience because I suck at working on motors. I am going to do my own gears never done it on the Dodge axle but it can not be that much difference between the Dana 35, Dana 44 and 8.8 axle.

I have done every thing and do do (haha do-do) everything to my own truck. I may not do it right, but I am to stubborn to let them work on it. The only thing the dealership was my lift. And mounted and alignment of tires. But I don't have things to do that myself. I tried and messed up and it was a pain to get the truck up to the stealer-ship.

I'll do as much as I can on it, but if its anything that deals with the transmission or rear end I'll take it somewhere, and I wont touch anything thats an electrical problem (I get to frustrated to easily). Engine work is fairly easy....

everything has always been done myself....Chrysler has an extremley strict powertrain warranty and never wanted to screw with it so always did the oil changes at work (worked as a tech at a dodge dealer)....otherwise i let no one touch my truck

I used to do all my own work on my vehicles. Now the 2 that I have are under warranty, so they go to the dealer, except for routine maintenance (oil changes, etc.). I also do not let anyone touch the outside of the vehicles except me. I used to detail autos/RVs for a living, so I do that myself and enjoy doing it.
