Cant I just have it all. I'll be done paying off my truck within a few years if not less so after that i'll probably try to finance a challenger or possibly a used viper ( viper is actually my dream car ) That is if dodge still is around lol.

I still regret getting rid of my true love about 18 years ago
Keep the car, and save up the money when you can to mod the truck if that's what you want, and then you can redo the car later.
Here are a couple of pictures of the one I let get away and will regret for the rest of my life. It had better wheels on it after these were taken. I had 15x10" Centerline wheels on the rear with N-50/15's and 5.5" on the front. Those big N-50's tucked up under the quarter panels like it was tubbed!!

Damn that thing is sick. I wish i had that hood. And yeah I can think about selling it all I want but im pretty sure when the day came i would change my mind and have to tell the guy no. I'll probably just keep it in storage maybe get a bank loan and fix it up or rack up the credit cards lol. I wish I didnt get the car when i was so young, bought it when i was 18 and didnt realize what i was gettin myself into. Saw all the tv shows saying oh just do this and buy this and that blah blah blah. Turns out this and that costs thousands of dollars. Or who knows maybe i'll win the lottery lol. Maybe this summer i'll be able to work my a$$ off on it and get it back into decent driving shape atleast. Sucks not having a heated garage in canada its like 8 months outta the year where you can barely touch the car.

When i built my home, i had a heater put in the garage for 1200 bucks. They had nothing to work around making labor minimal. I know things cost more up there but maybe adding a heater is an option in the future and you could work on your car when ya had the time and $.

No kidding. They sure make it look it easy (and relatively cheap). Perhaps that is true if you know how to do everything yourself (including body repair), you already own all of the tools/equipment, and you can get parts cheap. That is one advantage of the early Mustangs... they sold like hotcakes, so there are a lot of parts out there.

1974 Chargers were 1974 chargers. Big heavy and no power from stock.

If you like your car, you can turn it into what ever you want, as for the Ram, thier a diime a dozen, every one has one, Rams just don't stand out in a crowd, even if thier lifted.

Thiers a price for passion, no one can really say what is the best for you, in your heart you Know calgary's climate is not 100% friendly to restored cars, all it takes is one drive down deer foot and you lose money due to rock chips.

I'm not a fan of lifted trucks, for all the expense to gain room for bigger tires and 4 to five in of ground clearance, you can have a nice 1974 Charger ...

My baby, it's a 67' Barracuda Formula S W/ a 273 powerpack. Sorry for the poor quality I had to scan it off of a Poloroid. Haha

Not enough. I shattered a piston running 87 octane fuel on close to 12-to 1 compression. I didn't know that it had real small cc heads on it at the time.
So not running, I gave it away for $1800 back in about 1989 or so.
It is an original 383 4-speed, bench seat with a/c car. It had the 67 440 HiPo 440 block in it with 65 small chambered 383 heads (causing the high compression) with the original 4-speed and a 3.23 posi when I got it. I bought the entire 6bbl set-up (carbs, intake linkage and air cleaner) for $400. I then traded the OEM vacuum secondary outboard carbs to a friend of mine who had a real, numbers matching 71 440+6 Road Runner that had aftermarket mechanical outboard carbs so that his would be original.
Both ran really strong. Mine had the Mopar 509 Hyd. cam in it. I later traded a slodier who was getting ready to drive back to Texas from Ft. Knox my 3.23 posi for his 3.91 posi.
It was my daily driver for about 4 years. Even with the 6bbl and 3.91 gears it got about 14mpg unless the outboards were opened up, then about 4mpg

Here is the original 71 440+6

If you like the Charger, keep it, if not put the money into your truck. I do agree, that 74 wasn't the best year for the Charger, but none the less, not real common either.
