Yeah, it is always more in PA than NJ. And you get that nice full service in NJ too.

i do not have 35's they are a future mod to come but it was the same in the summer as well it went up to like 12.3mpg right after the tune up was done but then dropped right back down and right now its reading 9.7 and thats giving it just a little gas but i was thinking i could get at least mid to upper 12's for having so much replaced on it i am getting the same gas mileage as when i had a collapsed air filter before the tune i think the next mod will have to be something to help it breath better and a tuner to get it up and running i just dont understand how some of you get the mpg's you claim and i know i should be getting better out of this engine

try to do the math of your mileage yourself by writing down all you stuff, like how far you go and how many gallons you used (like in the iPod/iPhone app) and average it to see. I know the overhead helps out a lot and is pretty close but it isn't always 100% accurate. Wouldn't hurt to try.

I have a cold air intake, fitch fuel catalyst, and aftermarket exhaust and I'm gettin retarded mileage right now even though those are all parts that are supposed to help with fuel economy. It definitely does depend on how you drive and the conditions and all that fun stuff though that factor in to your mileage.

might be a bit better for me also if I ripped out my gay Ebay intake and got a real one lol

I bought the truck with an intake in it already and it's some ghetto ebay brand called Apex lol...wish the guy who owned the truck before me bought a real one like K&N or Volant

I have stock all, 20" Tires, 3.92 gears, only changes 91 octane SC, CAI, Mobil 1 synth. From here to Tulsa, OK and back hauling 600 lbs furniture in the back one way, with some city driving about 38 degrees outside temp, I averaged 19.8mpg via Overhead console, and my hand calc was just about right on.

On average empty and in the winter I have been pulling 12mpg in the city, the 91 tune and CAI have me being pretty heavy on the pedal to, Really find myself driving like an A@@ lately.

Ridinhigh, Is the truck in your sig the same one you are driving? If so, It is pretty close to the same truck I am driving and there is no reason you should be getting that much less mileage than me, Somethings wrong.

Ya know I have found that is really easy to do especially in springtown. It seems like the local drivers keep getting dumber dumber, and they cant seem to understand that we are bigger than them. These last few days driving in town, My rear bumper has turned into a human bug light. Its like they really can see this giant shiny bumper attached to a big bright red truck in front of them.
Since I installed that bumper four years ago, I have been rearended 7 Count them, 7 times! It usually cremates the vehicle that hit me, and never seems to leave a scratch on mine.

Just had the truck one tank worth so far, i drive mildly also. I "hand calc'd" it and it was 12.1mpg 100% city. This tank has some highway, but not much, and I use the cruise and go 62mph (trying to get that MDS to save me some $$).
Otherwise its still better than my 5.9 that got 10-11mpg city with winter fuel.
The overhead is not accurate, unless there is a trick to it, should i reset it each fill up?

I get around 10-13 mpg, closer to 10 in the winter, closer to 13 in the summer. But it has gotten better than when I bought my truck. For the first 2 years, in was getting around 10.5 mpg, with my truck being pretty much stock. But now, with my exhaust, intake, and Superchips (91 performance tune), I’ve gotten about a 3 mpg increase. Although I just got my truck back with 4.56 gears, so I will have to see how my mileage changes. Hopefully it will go up, as I do mostly city driving, and from what I’ve read on here, city mileage goes up with the gears.

Unfortunately, up here in the northeast, at least in CT, all we have is the 10% ethanol gas.

That is the same in my state too, but mostly the higher octane fuels are cheaper becuase they have more ethanol in them.
