there are ways around using that tool. i didnt use it to take out mine. its hard to explain if you dont know what im talking about but here i go:

i jacked up the whole truck and put the frame on stands in the front so the tires were off the ground, disconect the sway bar end links and shocks. this will allow the torsion bar to unload even more. then i took a floor jack and a 3/8" extension and put it in the adjusting dimple and jacked up the keys until i could take out the bolt and block, then let the torsion key down, smacked the bar with a hammer so it came lose then pulled it out backwards.

good luck!

you can also use a big "C" Clamp in place of the tool...

I used my ball joint press C clamp. put the end that turns on the T bar "Key", and the other end on top of the cross bar that holds the T bar keys. Put enough tension on the key that you can remove the adjustment bolt and the moon. Then remove tension on the key until it has tension no more. wiggle the T bar and remove then on to the next side. Its alot more safe to do than the jack thing, but do like bigwood said and take the load off the front tires or your gong to create a bigger saftey issue than you want. that kit is a good easy kit to install, but it will take some time,so dont be in a hurry. also make sure your ball joints are good before you put it all back together again. If not, you'll be takeing it all back apart again to replace them so it can be aligned properly.

Traker1001 go to http://www.topguncustomz.com Thats where I bought mine from.

what????

well I have it almost done. I'm going in tomorrow to finish it. Only a few things to do still, but the hard parts are done. I'll try to post pictures when I get some. I'll have about 6 hours in it when I'm done. I guess thats not too bad for it being the first one I have ever done.
