Default Want BARK not SNAP

Well, its time to put some bark in the Ram. I found a couple systems on e-bay for a decent price. The problem is, they have 2.25 inch piping from the muffler back. I am not sure what my truck will sound like with 2.25 inch duals i want a deeper sound, not a snappy, poppy sound.

here is one of the systems: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dodge...Q5fAccessories

or

So what do ya think? Is it worth it, or should I keep looking?
thanks

i dont know alot about this but when i was looking for exhaust for my car they said your best sound will usually come from 1 inch of pipe for every 100 hp so with that size of pipes and duals your at 4.5 inches so to me they seem a little big. BUt like i said i dont know a whole lot about this its just what i was once told. I'm sure someone will come in with better advice and more knowledge.

then you divide that by 2 (2 pipes) and you get 2.25. Right?

I say buy a muffler, and go to a muffler shop and have them fab up a exhaust system for less than those.

I think the rule of thumb is, the smaller diameter, the deeper the drone. I went with 3" and the tone is deeper than hell. With the bigger diameter pipe, your going to get a more tin-ny sound.

I remember reading a thread a while back, where someone threw out the reasoning for the 2.25 and 2.5 pipes for true dual exhaust, I will look for it. But what I got out of it is if you go too big you are gonna lose performance, samething if you go too small. I think I am gonna go with 2.5 for truw duals.
