Default everything off with key off???

Hey guys,

Asking this for my dad. He just got a used 2003 Ram, Hemi. And, it runs great and all, but, once you shut the key off, the only things that still operate are the cigarette lighter, and power seat.

There is no power to the...
OBDII
brake lights
head/tail lights
interior lights
power locks
and other stuff I guess.

But, there is no power to them, what so ever. Also, the radio constant is running off of the power plug/cig lighter, since its the only constant that didn't make us have to redo the radio everytime.

But, once you turn the key to accessory or on...everything works...except the OBDII plug. A service engine light is on...but, we have no way of scanning it to see what it is...for it is probably whats wrong with it.

All fuses in the box under the hood are good...are there any others anywhere??? Fusible links?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

turn your key to the on position (without starting) then back to the off postion. do that 3 times and the codes will come up on your odometer display.

Check all of the fuses, you have a blown fuse.

I checked it, but, actually, I had to do that whilst holding the trip reset button. But, it gave me a P0300 code, which is a multiple misfire...nothing related I would think.

But, we checked every single fuse under the hood, and all are good, and the only ones missing are spares, and the one that says V10 only...lol Don't these trucks have any fuses inside?
And, thats the problem...this truck is new to us, and we have no idea where any relays or anything are. Any in specific that should be checked? And where might I find them.

Thanks again guys...that key on/off trick is pretty cool though.

Chrysler makes up for computer ingenuity where their transmissions fail...gotta admit it.
