What do you mean by how it works? Reception, Sound quality, ???? I have xm and love it. Bought an alpine unit that requires no extra components except for antenna. Installed myself in 1/2 hr

Me personally. I love it. I never even set the fm presets once i got xm. Philly radio is terrible and it was great to have an alternative. I have thousands of mp3s but don't burn cds too often. I like the randomness of the radio.

I have Sirius in my Ram and I LOVE IT! I never listen to regular radio anymore. Nothing like being able to drive from Dallas to Cali and back and being able to listen to the same channel all the way. Its worth every bit of the $10 a month it costs me.

I actually have xm that is built into the reciever. It looks just like a regular radio. Unlike many xm ready radios mine has xm built in and does not require and external tuner. Just hook it up like a regular radio, add the antenna and call xm. I hate the way the roady looks hanging off the dash and didn't want to add there tuner under my dash so i bought my alpin. Its am/fm cd and xm.

then all you have to do is find a good place to shove the receiver box under the dash or your seat and your good to go. Thats the easy fix! My SONY radio is also XM ready, but I preferred Sirius instead so I had to do it this way, plus I got into Sirius back when the unit you see was pretty much the only one available, now there are a couple of smaller units out.
