Default 03 2500 Off-Road Project

Hello all, been looking around the internet for awhile now and found this place to be a lot more active than any other forum.

I have an 03 Dodge Ram 2500, bought it with the 2" leveling kit already applied with RevTek and TrailMaster shocks and 315/70/17's (35" tyre).

Have taken it off road a few times and like how it handles but want it to do more.

Currently stock front and rear diff's (14 bolt AA&M), wanting to upgrade to 4.56 with lockers, I prefer the ARB Air Lockers, does anyone have this setup or have an idea on price?

Also planing on adding wheel spacers as I noticed the 35's are about 1/4 an inch away from rubbing when in full turn.

Also open to other ideas, this will be mainly a city driver (25%) and off-road (75%), for the highway I have another vehicle that will be used.

Thanks in advance.

Well If you want to make it a true offroader, you could always go with long travel suspension upgrades, get new bumpers to allow for more articulation with out the hazard of rubbing, more lights for night time off roading.

As for the gears and lockers, it depends on were you go to get them...

A quick search on Ebay brought up a set of gears for $75 with $30 shipped and The ARB air locker is about $900

If the tires dont rub, why use wheel spacers??

The leveling kit and 35" tires have to be the best sitting 1500. Its just the right ammount. In other words, it looks good.

HOLY SH*T!! The price of that kit is the same as the price of my truck when I bought it. Can make payments on that kit or what?!?! That is crazy expensive. My wife would never let me buy something like that. Not even if I was a millionaire!

I have the same exact truck and I am basically doing the same thing. I found a wrecked 05 Power wagon and got the front and rear axles along with the swaybar disconnect for 2000 bucks. They have the E-lockers and the 4:56 gears allready installed and they are a direct bolt on. I have ordered a winch mount from my local dealer and I am looking for a good deal for a winch. As for the lift I purchased a BDS long arm 8 inch lift and I am going with 38x14.50x17 inch tires. I should have all of this installed by the end of June...

This is a 2500, and am thinking about going with 37's over the 35's

As for the axles, I already have 1-ton axles, just need 4.56 gears and lockers.
