I think it was just me. I mean, I destroyed my friend's F-150 the other night. My 2001 Ram never even came close to beating him. I also didn't pin it completely, I hate doing that to my motor. There was such little time to pass him, once you get through the intersection, there is about 500ft. before it goes into one lane, as I was approaching him the lane was narrowing on me so he just kind of cut me off. If I could have done it over, I would floored it from the green light and never looked back.

That Ranger couldn't have been a v6, that just doesn't sound right. Either that, or your truck likes to give you the same "hammer effect" that my truck gives me. I hate going from a roll in my truck sometimes. You hammer, and it doesn't down-shift, so you can't pick up any speed, and it seems like you've lost to someone that you really should've blown out of the water. Today, I caught my truck at the right time. I hammered on it, it downshifted, and I was able to spin the tires around 35-40 mph. I was really amazed that my big rolling brick could do that, and with the meaty-ish tires that I have on it. These Zeons will spin, but I never thought from a roll I could get it to do that without a chip. You just need to find that Ranger again, and show him who is boss.

What you describing below is not you, it is your truck. You should 100% have been able to make up 1 truck length on a stock ranger in the distance you are describing when you have it "mashed". I have read that some hemi's are slower than others, maybe you just got a slow one out of the bunch .
