Its not just the parts stores that are idiots. I had a guy at my local 4x4 shop yelling at me saying my truck took keys for a leveling kit until his son came out and calmed him down. Afetr he was calm his son took him outside and they both looked under my truck. Needless to say I wasnt buying anything from them. I also had a kid at Advanced Auto Parts laugh at me when I said I needed spark plug wires for my truck. He even called his buddy over that was younger than him to have him confirm that there are no plug wires on my truck. Even when he brought it up on his computer screen and it showed a part number for plug wires he shrugged it off by saying that it always shows some part numbers for other engines. He promised me that my truck because it was a Hemi that it did not have spark plug wires, that it was a dual coil setup. I played along and said well will you come out to my truck and have a look at the engine? He and his friend came out to my truck and stood by while I popped the hood. All I can say is I wish had a video camera at that moment. It would have been posted all over YouTube.

You can pretty much tell that the idiot behind the counter dont know $h!t about cars if he has to ask if your truck has intermitant wipers when you are asking him to look up some prices on brake pads...

yeah i have had the same thing time and time again myself, the only time i ever ask them anything, is like if i cant find the exact one on the shelf or if they have more in the back, cuz most places now are hiring young help which is cheaper, and man i am not no genius when it comes to all newer cars, but i can rebuild engines to complete restorations of them, and they tell me idk what im talking about sometimes, and you just want to jump the counter and beat them with what product your looking for but the have no clue what your talking about! least my advanced and autozones do still have some older guys on the payroll, i just always pray they are there when i have to go get something for my cars or trucks!
