Powdercoating Grille Inserts

If I was you, I would wait to paint the inserts until after you have some lights behind the grill. With nothing back there you kind of lose all depth when you look at the front of the truck. That is just my opinion but take it from a guy who has done it on a black truck, it looks better when you have something behind the grill to make the painted inserts stand out a little.

I personally wouldn't tint the outside of the lights unless you were also installing an hid kit in there. There really isn't anything good that can come from you losing light output from the headlights when the stock amount of light output without any tinting is barely enough as it is.

Does anybody know if the metal grille inserts on our trucks can be powdercoated? They look to be metal, but you never know these days. If they can, what do you guys think of the chrome metal inserts in my grille being powdercoated black to make it entirely black up front? I just am unsure if the chrome adds a nice accent to the truck or not. I know a guy that powdercoats extremely cheap. He did many parts for my brother's truck for amazing prices.
