How hard to install Air Lift air bags
Just got my Air Lift air bags for my "Brandie" and was wondering if there is anything special I need to look out for when puting these in??
What problems did anyone have Drilling through the frame? Because of the double walled frame, what type of drill bit did you use?? I'm going to get an couple of extra long 3/8 " Hardened bits if I can find them.
I did notice that there are only seven 5" long bolts and one self tapper. Four regular bolts for the right side and three regular bolts and a selftapper for the drivers side bracket. I'm assuming there is something on the back side of the frame that I need to avoid drilling through to use the selftapper.
Thanks for the help, H

I just used a new drill bit and it did the job fine. The trick is to keep it level when you go through the second wall. You are correct follow the directions on where to use the one self tapper, otherwise (like I did) you'll find yourself trimming the washer and loosing the e-brake cable to get it to work out.

Thanks guys, I went to Lowe's today and got three drill bit's two were from Bosche Titanium gold an 1/4 and a 3/8 and one of the Colbalt brand hardened 3/8 that was about 10 inches long. I'll try to just go with the two Bosche for now because all three bits were $28. The long one was $13 bucks alone so I may take it back if I don't use it.
Again thanks. H
