Well I did the mod and now I am getting 0765 transmission code. 0181 code and a 0040 code. Going to put the wire back clear the PCM and unhook the battery for 10 min or so and see if they come back latter.. Hope it did not screw up my Trans..

ok so i just did this on my 02 4.7 and it seems to make some difference. especailly between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3. I didnt have the greatest look considering im a 16 year old kid and the truck is a hand me down which i am very thankful for. when i undid and pulled the red piece from the terminal it fell out and took me 30 minutes before i found it somewhere in my front bumper. but i got it all fixed and took it to WOT and i think it helped my stransmission made a sqeak when it shifted but it has done that before. should you still be able to tell some difference at lower throttle range

The more places you put the same question the harder it will be to get answers.

There's no difference at part throttle. It should blow you away at full throttle, especially shifting from 1-2.

I did this last night with my wife.... i also bought that new app for the iphone that records your 1/4 mile, took it out to the fwy by my house. First time with no wire cut was 8.7 seconds 0 to 60.... the next time i did it, made sure i cut the wire. Went to the same spot, heated up my tires again. Ran a 7.1 0 to 60! This mod kicks ***, now i gotta get some real mods!

Anyway, I never did this on my 03, having bought a SC tuner instead. Would I gain even more by totally doing away with TM?
John, I installed the SC3865 and it made a difference. Later I did the TMR mod and it made little difference. Just a note, I have been making runs playing with the SC "data logger" and I can squeak the tires going into second. I am pretty happy with the way the trans shifts.
