I have already went to carmax and they was even lower that where the ram is. I am still undecided right now, but I really do want the truck. I just debating whether I can get the $3000 paid off in a few months. The wife has agreed if I can get it paid off by september.

i'm with Silver. get about 300 miles out of 24 gallons, mixed driving. just remember to take that into consideration. you're cutting it close enough where that might be important.

personally, i think you're cutting it TOO close. if you're buying from someone you know, is it possible they might have another deal in a few months? by then you'd be able to save up the $3k for the down payment?
