Yea I have an 05 and my stock pipe was 2 1/2. And ram cats are pretty good stock but if you have the money I would recomend getting a magnaflow cat (less buildup, depending on how old ur truck is, and they are even less restrictive)

That's a lot of effort to get a true comparison, thanks.
They all looked the same to me, %^), but I prefer the sound of the Vortex. I bet that makes some thunder full on.
Also, great color for a truck.
Good job....

Yeah, I agree with you. I have a cutout with a Flowmaster Super 44. I got the muffler because I wanted a loud exhaust, but now that I have a cuout, I don't really need a loud muffler. So, eventually whenever I have the money, I am going to redo my exhaust (headers, cats, new y-pipe, keeping the cutout), and I was looking at a 18" Magnaflow(3" SI/3" DO).

I assume a 22" magnaflow would not be near as loud as a flowmaster? I think I changed my mind on the muffler, getting a cutout as well so no need to have it always be loud.

Cherrybomb.....I think I may have gained 1 or 2 mpg. The exhaust system is a 1 in 2 out system with stainless tips running out behind both tires. I really like this setup. It doesn't blow exhaust crap on my boat when I am towing and gives a equal sound on both sides of the truck. I am very happy with the system.

If you want a ridiculously loud muffler, then Cherrybomb Extreme muffler is the way to go. Sounds like a race truck. Its the best of the ultra loud mufflers.
