dog if it is a good installer than can cut a front strip that is the same size all the way across. It takes a steady hand but the follow the top line of the windshield and cut same size all the way

donjohn, got a pic of the 8" visor?

SMKRAM, the visor tint is an optical illusion because the glass is convex inwards. The tint is the factory edge on the bottom and you would cut the top part that touches the headliner. the headliner part is what's bowed inward if you were to lay the tint piece out. That is where it would be less than the outside edge. my guess at 8" outside edge, the tint would only be 5 or 6" in the middle. Unless you were to cut a concave pattern out precisely. Maybe a tint machine can that has been programmed with the factory measurements, but freehand..no way.

I have a guy that I work with that does all my tinting. He did my front windows of my durango 35% they trunned out great, but I really wish I would have gone 20% to match rear. So when I got the Ram, I did just that. I got the film from Autozone and the guy who installed said it was a really good tint to work with. Turned out really good. It had a slightly more blue tint than the factory amber color, but it is not noticeable unless you look for it...... good luck with yours.

20% is illegal in Wisconsin where I am, but I see tons of cars/trucks with it and I have driven past tons of cops with no issue...

Dog I know how and why the front strip does what it does, and I am telling you I have never liked that factory tint edge look. All mine have been done constant thickness and it looks so much better!! It can be done and look good!
