Angry Damn Thieves! Need suggestions for aftermakerket alarm systems

Well last night some dick**** decided they really wanted my flip up head unit so of course they smashed my front window and crawled in. I cant stand these ****ing factory alarm systems. It never went off because he never opened the door only crawled through and out the window with my pop up, iPod Touch, and even my can of dip! So after I get my window replaced and tinted, the dash fixed because they ripped it out like a deranged monkey, and a new stereo I want to upgrade this piece of **** alarm system. Any suggestions please, I dont have a set price limit but something under 400 would be nice. Something really loud and obnoxious woulld be nice as well .

Any of the DEI products are good and reliable.....Viper, Clifford and there are a few others....i have had Viper in the past and currently have Clifford....you can get a system with a 2 way remote and it will notify you if if the alarm goes off....

I have a Viper Responder alarm, ran $500 when I bought it, it's loud, has all the window sensors, has shock sensors so if its armed and you jack the truck up to take off a wheel it goes off, And when it goes off it pages me and shows which sensor set off the alarm. the pager itself vibrates and beeps when the alarm goes off and will beep if someone bumps it but not with enough force to set the full alarm off.

I just found a deal on the Viper 5900 Responder for $210. Seems like a good deal to me and the sooner I can get some more protection the better. I just need to find a place to install this because I don't trust my wiring skills enough to do this myself. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I agree. I went with a Viper 791xv. That was about 2 years ago, I think it's now the Viper 5900. It has a i mile range pager system taht lets you know when your alarm is going off, remote start and you can also add sensors, such as motion or tilt to it as well.

Yep, Clifford 50.7x is what I have and is the same as them Viper 5901. Its a 2way system with shock sensor and glass break. I have an additional shock sensor added also. Its wired to a trunk pin switch and Im about to add a pin switch to the lid on my toolbox. Its got remote start and a ton of features. I paid about 250 BNIB off ebay and installed it myself over a weekend.

Are you sure your truck as an OEM alarm or just a ''honk'' for the lock confirmation?
