No Bull****! My friend also has the Harley Edition of the the F-150. He added the chip and a airaid. Yes his is faster but mine is still stock. I presume if I throw 600 bucks down to instal a airaid and spacers mine would beat the crap out of that lighting WITHOUT a chip. I have a 5.7 HEMI QUAD cab. with dual exaust and a new Ram air hood. He didn't beat me that bad. Just a few seconds.

Keep dreaming. $600 for an intake and TB spacers? Not only are you delusional but you're also putting money in the wrong spot. The intake mods might help a bit, but I seriously doubt you'll get anywhere near the 80 lb-ft you'll need. The computer controls everything... I'd fiddle with it first. My VW I went from 180hp/170 lb-ft to 209hp/240lb-ft just by switching some 0s and 1s in the ECU. Nothing physically changed at all. Of course you won't see gains like that because my ECU controls boost as well, but it's a good place to start.

650 installed for a air aid and spacer. that was a direct quote from a Dodge dealer. The parts are cheaper and you can prob get them installed cheaper by a buddy, or do it yourself. I agree, a chip really helps, but I was just saying based on my friends Ford Vrs my Quad HEMI! We race all the time.

Your buddy doesn't know how to drive, or he's got an older non-supercharged one. One or the other.

Toss your truck on a dyno, then install the intake and TB spacers and post up the before and after numbers. I'd be willing to bet you don't see more than 20 hp max, if that much, without fiddling with the computer. I've done the normally aspirated bolt-on mods to vehicles before, and you get a lot more noise with a little bit more power. The noise makes you think it makes more power, and the fact that you just dropped over half a grand for noise makes your butt feel like there's more power.

my friend has a 04 qc hemi with the 20's and 3.92, and trax-lok. k&n filter. he though he had one bad truck. i have a 2000 ECSB silverado with 5.3, 3.42, G80 locker, K&n intake and a hypertech. he had a jump on me for the first few feet. he never passed me. i pulled on him like he was standin still when i hit 2nd. i thought the hemis were suppose to be one bad truck? and he only gets bout 12-13mpg average, im getting 18-19avg. not saying they are the slowest. because they are rated too pull alot more than my truck.

Tell your buddy those 20s are killing him. At this point, you couldn't get me to buy a Hemi - they're not prooving to be all that reliable, and they get awful fuel economy. It's a total marketing gimmick, and unfortunately people stepped right on up and bought it hard.

3000gt came in three trim levels - base (160hp), SL (220??) and the only good one, VR4. They're really heavy cars, upwards of 3500-3800 lbs iirc. And the non-vr's wonder why Civics leave them at the light (2000-3000 lbs, 100-160hp)

Hehe, I get 14 around town and 17-19 on the highway in a 3 ton bitch that can seat six and pull a fugging house. Plus it looks better than those ugly lunch box fords and that avalanche miscarriage front ended silverados.

You must go easy on the throttle. I have heard way more people here complain about 8-10mpg than I've heard brag about 15-20. Shoot, if I wanted 8mpg I'd put 4.56's in my truck. [:'(]
