hemi vs. lightning
your a fool horatio...
To begin with your dodge would have a hell of a time dragging my truck around, especially since they weigh in at almost the same, therefore it is by no means "little", just because you have 4wd doesnt make it a whole lot easier, if you had a diesel then my thoughts might be different, but whatever improvements you did to yours would have brought it into the same HP range as mine. Definitely not as easy a time as I would have dragging your stang around.
"Then you try to show me who's boss by telling me how bad-*** your truck is", I never said anything about my truck being so, it was you that was saying that your ford would and I quote "I guarantee my 3000 lb ~350 hp Ford will spank your Hemi up, down, and back around again" in response to rIntro, this is yet another inaccurate statement.
Yeh, I have a HEMI and I get 19+ on the highway, 14 in-town, I have no ticking or knocking sounds, 22,000 miles and nothing has broken, in fact not even one single problem at all. And to top it off I am sittin fat on 20's with tunes and air-conditioning, of which neither your Dodge or your ford have, in fact your ford doesnt even have a roof much less windows, real impressive.
And personally I could care less if you have a car that is faster han my truck, my truck is just that, A TRUCK! I have a car thats faster than my truck, my 1970 Cougar with a 351C, but I dont go throwing it in other dodge owners faces because I have respect for all of us that love our dodge products. I have continued to own at least 1 chrysler vehicle since 1995 and proud to say so.
Judging by the structure and content of your posts and replies to me and the others in this particular thread, I am confident to say that if you want to continue this "battle" of wits and verse, then you will never prevail.

You need to post some pictures of that, cause you don't see many anymore. What happened to the Lightning guys???????
I am glad to see some of the dodge crowd come back into this, mopartodd here is an old pic of my cougar, I havent taken any pictures of it in a couple of years, it doesnt ever change so I havent seen the need to. Its pretty quick and fun to drive on occasion, but since it gets no better mileage than the HEMI, has to have the a/c charged every year or so, only has drum brakes all the way around and makes you smell like exhaust fumes after you drive it, I prefer to drive the truck or my Fifth Avenue(that I bought last year for $305).

The cougar was purchased for my grandma new and has been in the family since. She passed away 4 years ago and it was given to me then, in the picture you can just barely see my old '96 dodge ram parked to the right of it. I wish my grandpa had stayed a mopar customer and then it might have been a cuda or charger, but for some reason in 1970 he switched to fords and has owned them eversince, oh well what can you do...
no, I have raced a few strays on the local roads here and there but before it ever goes to the track it should have both the tranny and engine rebuilt and have the brakes replaced with discs. Nothing like getting up to 100mph and then try to get the drum backs to bring it back down, scary scary!
well, its a nice rare old car..ford or not....do you haev any idea what itas putting out? or what it might run at the track? i am very unfamilair with that car...
I think it put out around 300 stock... I have done all the usual stuff, headers, carb, intake, exhaust, electronic igntion/distributor/wires and all that stuff so I am sure its more than that now. But I dont like to push it too hard, after all its 35 years old with 92,000 original miles and I dont want to break it before I have a chance to restore it.
