Default My Ram VS. a Chevy 1500= KILL

Raced a fairly new ('03-'05) Chevy 1500 extended cab the other day, whipped his *** off the line and up to 55, by then i was 2 truck lengths ahead of him. i eased off and he tried to make up for it by blowing by me, but the battle was already won, hahaha. point for the 4.7 with 3.55s.

Folks,
Had a little run and jump going with a Duramax last week on the big road (rt 460). To be fair I was launching from a sweet spot and I'm thinking the chevy didn't have it together. He'd jump and I'd roll on him then he shut down. I guess the 3:55's are good for something, as soon as old red got right she was all over the chevy. Or maybe we were just mis-communicating. Kind of like my man David, "If I pass out, cut me down". What the hooker heard was "when I pass out take my wallet and leave". Still, I would like to do a straightup run with the chevy just for my own gratification.

Well beings im a old Gm man.Have owned Gm trucks with 327 and 350's in them.I can tell you first hand, dont waste the gas or wear on your Dodges. You will win with no problem. We have a D max at work and its spunky off the line but im pretty sure the 5.7 would take it.Now if its chipped it might be a different story.

nice. im one of the only dodge guys around my town, so i have raced a few chevy's already. 4 actually. raced 2 with the 5.3..one stock from a roll, other with exhaust and intake from a dead stop and whipped both pretty bad. stock was a 4-door and the modded one was a bagged single cab. raced an older one with a 350 from a roll and took him easy. then raced an 04 with the 4.8, intake, exhaust...and as you can imagine i took him too. hemi power ain't nothin to mess with!!

I was having a little fun with an 08 rcsb chevy a fewweeks back after I had the DSP installed. He pulled up at the light and would inch forward then stop then inch forward a bit more then stop, Light turned green and I was up to 60 and had a solid 6 lengths between me and him (donn't think he expected me to bite) so I slowed down, while he caught up then as he passed me I hit it again and passed him by again. All it said on the side of his truck was silverado, so it was probably their base base base model and bone stock but still. At the next light he wouldn't look over at me. Chevy's are always fun to play with.

Man, what you mean 460 isn't a big road? Everything else is either two lane or just plain umarked around here. But I do agree it's a long sucker. Hell, I can go all the way to Virginia Beach on it.
