If u remove the overload leaf without a flip u,ll gain 1 inch. U won't be able to haul anything though. Shock extended only needed if u go lower than 6 inches in the back, which without a flip won't happen. Buy the drop shackles n put them on n leave ur overload to b level. I'm on a 5/6 drop. I like my look. It looks down right mean. Lol.

I would not really say you "won't be able to" haul without the overload leaf as you still can. You just gotta watch you dont go near or over the haul rating, what ever that is.

If you go back though the thread you will see folks without the O/L spring using their trucks for towing and hauling. My o/L springs looked like they had never touched the other springs when I took it out some 6 years ago. I tow a 6x12 enclosed MC trailer, with no problem.

Well, I plan to soon be joining you guys in the lowered section. Any suggestions for me before I actually go through with it? I plan to use just drop shackles in the rear for now and I may go lower later on, I looked back a couple pages and saw the clamps and all that but I don't really like the idea of those. I haul stuff around on occasion, I had 600lbs of dirt in the back a couple days ago and boy was it squattin. I don't know if I was hittin the overload or not but it makes me kinda weary to take it out just to level the truck.

That was an opportunity missed. The next you have a load in the truck, take look to see what is were. Such as, how much travel is left. Are you on the O/L's or not. Maybe have a few of your friends climb aboard to take a look?

Could I put in helper airbags after I remove the overload to prevent any problems from happening? Also if I decide later on to go to a more extreme drop like the 2/4.5 that Okla suggested in my thread could I use the bags in conjunction with that kit?
