Lowered Trucks: tech and info....
Hey guys ive always had lifted 4x4's and now i have a 2wd truck and i wanna drop it... im keeping the stock wheels on it for a while but i wanna know how a 2/4 or 3/5 drop would look on my truck and how much im looking at spending...
IMO this is on of the better manufacturers.

this will be the springs and flip kit on the rear. it was designed for drive way installation. but if you dont feel comfortable working with you suspevsion a shop would be able to do it for you

i have a 2/4.5 drop, 20'' wheels, and 295/45/20 tires. i like the way it sits now, but when i get back from iraq im gonna bag it to lay frame! (cant wait!!) but yeah, you shouldnt have any problem doing a 2/4 with your factory wheels. if you went with a 3/5 id say go down a size or two on your tires. imo
i have a 3/5 and love it. running 305/45 r22 and i think it fits great. i never rub. i have thought about going lower and probably will in the distant future but i will have to get new wheels when i do so that will be another 2000.00 on top of everything else
hey tuned... im a veteran too... just got home from Ramadi... ur tag says u have custom shackles... anything special or different from the shaks in the kits? also im gunna change the tires anyway bc its time.. so any 2/4.5 drop will put me at ur height?
i havent been yet, im goin in april for the first time. ive been in the army for 6 years now... its about time right haha! i got my kit used offline. the kits' shackles sit either a hair too high or a hair too low (from what i heard) so the guy i got my kit off of custom made shackles so now it sits perfectly level. the factory tires sit @ like 30''-30.5'', the tires that im running now sit at 29.5''. so if you do a 45 series tire on your 20's with a 2/4 drop you should be sittin bout where i am. BUT on the other hand, with those same size tires, if you do a 3/5 you would be lower and still wouldnt rub.
yea ive been in for two. deployed 2 weeks out of basic. im airborne infantry 11 Bravo. what are you? yea well i put 33's on it thinking i was gunna lift it and turned around and changed my mind so now i have to get new tires so im probably gunna go with your set up.
