Best I've gotten was just over 18 on a 200 mile trip @ 60. Really begins to suck the gas over 70. I get about 2mpg better at 65 than I do at 75, but I rarely see it since I usually set the cruse at 75 on the interstate.

I always sacrifice by driving 5 MPH over the limit. My HWY MPH is just over 20 MPG, with a best of 22.1 MPG.

yea prolly under 70, cause wind resistance makes you use more power to go that fast which takes more gas

well if memory serves, you use the least gas at the torque peak, even over idle. now assuming you have a HEMI (which only comes with the 545-RE).....

Torque peak is 375 @ 4200 RPM according to the dyno sheet ( http://www.hostpicsfree.info/show.ph...emidyno947.jpg )

Stock tires: 30"

545 RFE: 3.00, 1.67 upshift/1.50 kickdown(auto selects proper 2nd gear), 1.00, 0.75, 0.67

First Gear: 3.00:1, 4200 & 3.00:1 & 3.92 & 30" = 32 MPH

Second Gear (kickup): 1.67, 4200 & 1.67 & 3.92 & 30" = 57 MPH

Second Gear (kickdown): 1.50, 4200 & 1.50 & 3.92 & 30" = 64 MPH

Third Gear: 1.00, 4200 & 1.00 & 3.92 & 30" = 95 MPH

Fourth Gear: 0.75, 4200 & 0.75 & 3.92 & 30" = 127 MPH

Fifth Gear: 0.67, 4200 & 0.67 & 3.92 & 30" = 142 MPH

Now, since you can't shift it that way (and if you could it wouldn't be safe for the tranny...why the torque peak is that high who knows), I'd say 55 is the next best bet.

I cant drive 55!!!

I drove to Missouri last week and if I had driven 55 I would have been run over by even the little ole lady's. I set mine on 70 and still get 19+, do what you must but just get there without making too many enemies(like you would by going 55!).
