Default rear noise

i have anoise coming from the back 2 wheels. its whines and squeeks when driving but when i hit the brakes, the noise stops. i originally thought it was the wheel bearings, but i dont think it would sound like that. the noise gets lower the faster i go. any suggestions?

Have you taken the rear wheels off and inspected your brakes? I would take a good look at them, your problem will probably be obvious.

My breaks are definately bad in the back, but wouldn't the squeeking be there when I hit the breaks? It squeeks all the time until I do hit the breaks and it stops. Yes I do have the stock lsd

well it doesent allways squeak when you hit the brakes, ide get the brakes changed first, and go from there, also the stock lsd is a poor design and often causes damage inside the rear end, im sure someone els will chime in on that tho

Pop your diff cover off, check your gears and LSD, have a look see if there are metal shaving in the bottom. That noise could be a failing LSD.

Worn pads will often squeak until you put pressure on them by pushing the pedal.
