First off after reading this I think you're getting a hard time due to your age more than you deserve. GET USED TO IT!!! You want a hemi or I think it was 3 other 300hp+ cars. You're young, dumb and full of.... speed and it's only a matter of time till you figure what the hell, lets rip er up a bit. It's addictive, I know because 9 years after taking the wheel I still love to rip it up once in a while.

You might be different and turn out to be a fantastic driver but in the meantime you'll just have to deal with the stereotypes. Especially being from Saskatchewan.

I'd say get a 1500 4x4 5.7 or 4.7. You'll be happy with both for your needs and when winter hits in sask you'll be thankful to have a truck and not a low car.

SLT is the middle truck. Sport is an SLT with color matched bumpers and grill. You can get either v8 engine, 17s or 20s, etc.

The Laramie is the luxury truck. It comes with leather seats, 20s, infinity stereo, and badges that add 300hp.

There are a bunch of option for both the SLT/Sport and the laramie. Too many to list. Other than options they're basically all the same. Just find one with the options that you like/need.

Why's it so bad to be from Saskatchewan? Just wondering? Thanks Got Hemi, does anyone know about Lift kits? I'm assuming they do. I don't plan on adding one right away, but if I did it wouldn't be huge. I was thinking a 6 inch lift kit max after getting use to the truck and having it for awhile. Is 6 inches big? Or is it still a decent height to daily drive in?

There isn't a bad reason to be from Saskatchewan. I'm just buggin you cause there has always been a Saskatchewan vs. Alberta rivalry. In the end it's all the same.

Honestly 6 inches is alot more than you would think. It doesn't sound like much but once you get it on there your gonna be like DAMN! My friend has a Z71 and he has a 3 inch and his truck makes all the other Z71's in town look like hotwheels cars.

I haven't seen a 6 inch available for a 1500... I thought they only made a 4 inch... Maybe I need to look harder

I'm pretty sure they make a 6 inch, or I could combine a 4 inch lift kit with a 2 inch body lift, even though it wouldn't make any more ground clearance but it would let me fit bigger tires.

What I'm really looking for in a truck is:
- Performance & handling
- Looks and interior luxury (leather or nice cloth seats, nice sound system & dash etc)
- Unique, something you won't see everyday, nice on the eyes
- Miles per gallon would be a big plus, but it's hard to find in a truck
- Large cab, the Quad Cab looks big.
- Short box, I hate the long box look, but the normal box is good
- Fun to drive, good for off road and around year weather
- Can tow, and haul, although I do have another truck for that, but it would be nice

Here's a picture of a GMC Sierra I REALLY like, although I really want a Dodge, this is what I'd like my Dodge to look like after having it for awhile.

As for tires blowing out, I'm not to worried. Only two ways it would happen is if it blows due to use, or i run over something that punctures it. I get tires for free and they're replaced every 3-4 months, so the chances of having a blow out due to over wear is next to none. That leaves me running over something. 305/50 coopers aren't the type of tire that take a nail and then blow. My tires also have a thick side wall which helps.

On top of all that, it would have to be a front tire blow out for it to really effect the control of my truck. Then even on top of that, a blow out at speeds that low aren't going to make me jump lanes and hit oncoming traffic.

So even if i were to encounter some freak accident and a tire actually does blow out, my chances of wrecking aren't that high.
I am a younger driver (22 not quite as young but still) and even I see what thinking errors you have. You are coming up with excuses to behave dangerously. Just because YOU feel your actions are safe doesn't mean they are. The Laws are put in place to make sure that the idea of "safety" is universal not "well I'm just THAT DAMN GOOD". Im sure most people who are speeding or doing dumb S*** THINK they are in control or they wouldnt be doing it.

That being said......Get the vehicle you want just cause you HAVE the power doesnt mean you will be driving like an idiot....4 bangers will hit 90 too and are just as dangerous just takes them a little longer
