The trucks here aren't bad for Saskatchewan. The 2008-2009 Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel 1500's are 24,999.00. They take off or add a couple thousand of course depending on options etc, but that's the average price.

This is the best line in the whole thread. I've never met a 17 year old who didn't think they were an above average driver. lol

I'm beyond average when it comes to driving, if you want to think otherwise I can't stop you. My driver's test and exams just back up my statement considering I got a 100% on all written tests, and only two demerit marks for not triple checking a busy intersection that probably should have been checked a bit more.

Clearly your statement is irreverent to the whole thread and plays close to no part in the thread. May I ask why you even bothered to point it out if you knew it was unnecessary?

I think patient drivers are good drivers more so than one who can pass any test. The test has some merit but overall if you can drive without getting mad or criticizing other drivers then you are a good driver.

What does a written test have to do with driving? Because you can write an essay on the right way to parallel park doesnt make you a good driver. Im only saying this because I thought I was the **** at driving when I was 17 too. Then I got a bunch of tickets and now my insurance rapes me.

I'm basically the best driver in the world...

Or, so I thought, til I had a 600,000 dollar claim on my insurance, for hitting a friend, his truck, and our house...

Don't think you're the shiz cuz your test shows that you are...

Trust me, I'm a great driver, I'm 23, and I've learned through experience how different vehicles drive depending on the weather, road condition, and everything else.

I've driven 600hp turboed Subaru's... 500hp dodge rams... evo's... sti's... eclipses... my truck... my dads 2500 ram... I've driven far more vehicles than someone my age should have...

It's all about the amount of maturity you have...

And at 17 years of age, I doubt you have enough to drive a 5.7 or even a Cummins...

I know a lot of kids in my town that have diesels just so they can make massive smoke shows...

Ya, that's cool when you're 17/18...

My age, it's like, meh... awesome... whatever...

Wow thats a huge claim, you must have really ****ed up. Obviously you cant be that great of a driver lol.

I have been drivin just about everything there is (vipers, challengers, chipped Diesels etc.) as well and have learn't allot from it.

When I was 17-18 I was drivin brand new rams and cummins diesels and had no problems. Im sure this kid could too as long as he doesnt get stupid about it.

oh and Frenchy, thats actually a nice Dakota which is very rare.I really dont like the new style but I like what you have done with her.

Man I was waiting for that!! Everyone thinks there the best when they get there license, In all honesty buddy dont buy a brand new truck, buy something used, go for an 02-05ish 1500 to save yourself some money.. You dont want to crash a brand new truck, and believe me, you will crash, atleast once. I tow a 19 foot boat with my hemi all summer and it has no problems with it, these trucks are awesome in the snow, totally capable offroading through mud to get to camp sights, the mds sucks and gas mileage isnt that great, but if you want cheap on gas, then buy a car! With my brand new truck after payments, insurance and gas every month im looking at around 1200 a month, Canadian, (im in bc and I dunno how your insurance is so cheap, over here we have the same setup and get raped!!).. 480 a month payments, 300 a month insurance and I go through about 400 a month in gas, but I drive around 100km a day to and from work. keep all that in mind since you only make 800 a month at work, half that will go to gas.. Keep in mind that diesels are alot more costly to repair and for what you need it for it would be overkill to have one.. Oh and as for driving a lifted vehicle.. dont do it, get your bearings first with driving a truck then lift it... Remember wear and tear on lifted vehicles is higher and tires are a hell of alot of money.. I dont know if I covered all your questions.. Long story short get 02-05 1500 hemi 4x4.. The interiors are almost identicle and the only difference in the outside is the smaller headlights..
