Patient drivers are horrible because they do 30 in a 35... Just because you follow the traffic laws doesn't mean you are good at driving.

You misinterpreted what I was saying and are clumping overly cautious drivers with those of us whom survey the road ahead and anticipate whats coming.

To other kind of driver speeds ahead and contributes to the congestion that the overly cautious driver has created.

It's like the robot that hasn't been programmed to go around obstacles but instead keeps running into it until it moves.

So your saying those of us who drive 70 in the 45s don't survey the road and anticipate what's coming? If that were true I'd have been in a wreck by now or at least received a ticket. I'm simply saying that just because you drive patiently doesn't increase your driving capabilities.

Your still critising my driving skills when you know nothing about me or how I drive? I'm a patient driver that doesn't dick around when driving, driving is a dangerous way of transportation that most people have to go through each day. Driving isn't a joke, it's a challange, constantly correcting other drivers mistakes and being on the look out.

I'll say it again, I got 100% on all written exams, and almost NO MISTAKES ON MY ACTUAL DRIVER'S LICENSE! How many of you can say you passed your driver's license nearly perfect? Not many I bet. I'm not trying to sound arrogant or ignorant, but I know I'm not doing to good at that. I understand driving's hard and new driver's tend to have a bad reputation. The fact is that I've avoided many accidents already within the past year and a half I've been driving. I've been cut off numerous times, almost rear ended by people blowing read lights etc. I believe I'm a good driver and can handle many vehicles but not all.

Also to everyone arguing that speeders aren't good driver's, that's false in most cases. Speeders concentrate on the road, there speed limit, and they are constantly surveying the road ahead and up coming objects. Most people driving the speed limit or a bit lower are on the cellphone, texting, looking at their electronic devices in their car, drunk, talking with friends or just not concentrating on the road. I'm not saying speeders are good drivers, but I'm not saying they are bad driver's.

Every thinks their driving habits are the best.

It's funny to me when if I am not driving the speed limit in town people will pass me up only to make a stop at the light that was being anticipated. It happens a lot. 70 in a 45 is just dangerous when there are other less skilled drivers on the road. Less skilled drivers don't check mirrors, don't use caution, tend to driver over Or under the speed limit, and many other things. I am no fan of goverment statistics or because they are usally false to push the propaganda of the week but its a fact that speed is deadly. If one is going to complain about slow drivers then they should consider their own bad driving habits as well. If someone wants to drive slow thats there parogutive not mine. In fact its a good thing because they may not possess the ability to handle a vehicle at higher speeds. While we can insult their lack of motor skills(no pun intended) we have to appreciate the fact they know what they are capable of. If everyone was driving 70 in a 45 the problems would be endless. Think about it, speed limits are for a reason. While you think a few people speeding harmless it may be true. But if every one was speeding there would be a problem.

oh and no matter how good you drive and how good your record is it is proven that major accidents are cause primarily by agressive drivers.

and no matter how many accidents you havn't been in there are other people one the road. Not just you, so don't be selfish and assume the road is always yours. I hate talking like this because it sounds like some liberal yuppie government talk but it is true.

Trust me, there is no one driver's test that can prepare you for the real world. I've seen friends of mine that I took to get their license score the minimum pass score, and they are some of the safest drivers out there. Inversely, I've seen some people ace their tests and they drive so poorly that I wont ride with them. Being a good driver takes time.

I too thought I was the beesneez when I started driving, but let me tell ya, I got knocked down a level 2 days before I turned 16. I managed to wrap a 1997 Chevy 1500 around a tree at 80MPH. I walked away from that wreck with a small cut on my ear and a little scratch on my hand.

Look, I'm not bashing you, but I know how you feel and I also know how you are going to feel on the first royal **** up you have.

Oh, BTW, I scored a 95 On my test. Down here, the tests don't prepare you for real world driving scenarios. I would be willing to bet that it's the same damn instance up there.

I tell ya what, resurrect this thread in about 5 years and tell us all then that you are still the best driver out there. I guarantee you wont be able to truthfully say that.
