The a/c wire is optional because your condenser is cooled by it's own fan. Makes no sense to turn on the radiator fan with the a/c.
I hooked mine to the a/c clutch relay on my Mustang because the condenser is in front of the radiator.

I did not hook up the AC wire on my e-fan. Never had a problem with it wired that way.

Because we don't need to with the condensor having it's own fan.

So I don't need it then, correct? It did sound a little odd that I needed the fan running for the AC to work.

Cool beans. The only thing I need now is to get rid of the jerry rigged reserviors into something a little better than a few zip ties and one of the unused pieces of the mounting bracket. I figure I will grab a piece of aluminum plate and bend it to shape then mount to the frame on the bottom and the radiator on the top.
