yeah i would love to put a 5.9 in too, but i found this hemi for a deal, but sorry for not updating sooner, had a few issues with the darn trans bolting back into the transfer case, and then again with the hemi bolting back into the trans, but i got them all done yesterday, also got the ecu in, still need the wiring harness and a drive by wire pedal from a hemi ram, if anyone has an idea where to get those let me know, cuz i have had no luck around here, oh and the motor mounts are not the same to let ya know, i thought they looked the same, and they are, but the mounts on the hemi block are higher and further foward, so im fabbing up some plates that will bolt to the motor and bolt through or weld to the orginal 4.7 motor mounts, ill get all the pics i have taken so far too, to my photobucket account either tonight or tomorrow, hopefully tonight, but i got alot going on this weekend, well ill update again with new info or pics soon as i can, later

p.s. here is the photobucket account i have for this project:

well i know its been awhile since i have updated (and check out my photobucket account for this swap, the link is at the bottom) been kinda busy, got alot of parts in, worked on cleaning up and painting a bunch of accessories, installing alot of custom parts and upgrades, making the motor mounts, torquing all the bolts down, modding my intake to look like a 6.1L hemi intake, etc... so yeah i have made alot of progress, tomorrow ill be bolting all the accessories and intake back on, finishing the last motor mount, and bolting the motor mounts in one last time, then i got to do some wiring and plumbing, then top off the fluids and test her out! the only thing is i still havent had any luck on finding the engine to body wiring harness from a hemi dodge ram, if anyone knows of anywhere to get one or is selling one, let me know!! i pay cash or paypal fast!! thanks, later

P.S.: here is the link to my photobucket album for my hemi engine swap into my 02 dodge ram, that also has the pics of my awesome custom intake mods in it!

I know here in Massachusetts... The emission test is just hooking up the OBDII connector as long as the CEL is not on and U pass... I really don't think any tech will go thru a vin check to see what engine was supposed to be there... I have a Jeep CJ-7 installed a Chevy 350 and got inspection stickers for it and the techs didn't even pop the hood to see if it had a 6 cyl ( as far as the vin is concerned) All of the inspection stations I have gone to just care about CEL and $$$$$$...... Just my 2 cents... good luck eith the build...

Engine mounts? Did you take the engine mounts off the Durango? I am not entirely sure, but I don't think that Hemi will mount up to the 4.7L engine mounts. If you didn't get them, it's not a big deal, just fab up your own.

at first i was kinda skeptical about this ( i've been watching seceretly for a long time ).it's not that i doubted you.but, I've read alot of posts about people doing this and it never happened. But after reading some of your newer posts i can see that you are very serious about this and are doing an awsome job.I can't wait to see the end result.Keep up the AWSOME work.

well i know its def taken longer than i had expected to finish this project, but im making some great progress, the only thing really holding me back right now is finding that darn engine to body wiring harness, the one that connects the engine, trans, engine and trans computers, dash, etc... but anyways i have finished the intake and wiring mods to the fuel injection harness, finally got those last three bolts holding the driver side mount to the front diff housing out, had to cut two of them, and that wasnt easy, so tomorrow i will be working on welding my own custom hemi motor mount plate to the 4.7 mount, then i can drop the hemi down onto the mounts one last time! also got my hemi ac lines in, cuz my 4.7 lines wouldnt work quite right, cuz the hemi ac pump has different fittings on it, so ill be putting them on along with the new serpentine belt and with my finished intake and wiring mods, so hopefully i can finish off all the loose ends, then i will just need to bolt up the exhaust, start plumbing and filling all the fluids, then all i will need is the engine to body harness from a dodge hemi ram, so if anyone knows where to grab one or is selling one, let me know, ill pay cash or money order for it! cuz i need one asap! and for those of you following my thread you can check out all the new pics i posted up to my photobucket account dedicated to this engine swap!
