And no way a few bolt ons is over 330. The reason your buddy wouldn't tell you what he did is because he did more than a few bolt ons... I'm sorry to blow your bubble here.

If you want a good tune, lose that "sick" dealer flash. The mopar performance pcm is way outdated. Superchips is great for a mild motor, or look at a diablo for a cam'd up motor. Go with SCT for a full custom tune (which you'll need to properly support that tuner).

This isn't a real gearhead site, and no offense to the members here, but you're not likely to get good/accurate advice. There are a number of good hemi sites for performance, but this isn't one of them. Find one of the others and you'll see that I am only giving you straight advice.

If you are serious about the supercharger, I know two guys with sc'd hemis that I can put you in touch with for advice. There are a lot of tuning hassles involved, and they put some severe limitations on your truck when towing, driving at higher elevations, etc. The dodge **** pcm just doesn't play nice.

My advice in addition to that, is.......stay away from a "sicka**" tune". You don't wanna end up with a dirty tune. Heck, I've even heard of a few "popular" tuner companies putting out dirty tunes in their handhelds. Just an FYI.

I wasn't trying to argue with you, I am not a huge gearhead, I've just grew up around the stuff my whole life. This is my first experience with Mopars, been with Chevy's my whole life, yes all 26 yrs of it, LOL.

I wish you the best with your build bro, hope everything works out for ya.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that must be exactly what the guy who pitched the idea of the 545RFE said to dodge, and they actually believed him.

You do not want to inform DMV of your swap. They will have no idea. As long as you bring everything running to a dealer, they can program the ecu to your Vin# and you will be good to go for OBD-II plug-in inspections.
This is an example: As far as putting an engine say from a Ford into a Dodge, as long as there are cats and egr stuff and the ecu throws no codes, you are perfectly legal.

I'm not trying to be an a$$ my friend, but these posts your commenting to are about over a month or so old. Normally these guys say they're gonna do this or that but they never show up back on here with any progress. the first three pages are normally about the most active ones on here.

I took a look at your photobucket album. Absolutely great stuff. Hats off for the ingenuity of making this conversion. Great road map for anyone else wanting to do the same!

One thing that concerns me. I was looking at the welds on the motor mounts you built.
And I don't mean this to be a bash. But the welds looked really weak under that paint. Unless it was just the picture making it look bad, you might SERIOUSLY want to consider taking them some place to either have x-ray inspected, or have someone re-weld them. Seriously, they don't look like solid welds. And I am not talking about asthetics either. God knows my welds don't always look gorgeous!! But your motor mounts are under constant torque....gotta be solid.

Again, great job. Just lookin out.

if you do have problems with the dmv you could register it as a custom built vehicle and get a new vin, might cost you a few hundred bucks (i did that with a ricer i used to drive it was a Toyota tercel with an engine from japan had 200 hp in a 2005 lb (909 kg) car it was a rocket lol), but i don't think it will be a problem

GRAPHIC is right-It Looks like your using a stick welder for those mounts. I would M.I.G. them or have them M.I.G.ed by someone. As a 6-G certified pipe welder,I can tell you those welds don't look like there going to hold up under the preasure your going to be putting this motor under.
As for the rest of the truck"Cudo's to you", Great job. What are you doing about the wiring. That Motor don't look like any 5.7 litre Iv'e ever seen ,It looks like a 6.1. Or did you change the intake manifold. I have not had a chance to look at all the pix,But am looking forward to it later tonight.
Good luck,I have a Hemi-Dakota on another thread "Hemi Dakota Swap" Check it out.I need wiring harness and computers to finish,I will keep posting as I go along...I hope you'll do the same,so we can compare notes...
