dGator, I made another post when i got my stuff in. I am using TRS FX-R Bi-xenon projectors with OEM Matsu****a ballasts and Philips 4300k bulbs.
I bought the Gatlin shrouds as they said would fit and don't. Now I got one all cut up to try and make it fit and it doesn't. $50 down the drain...ughhh Now i have to find something else???
I'd post some mid-way pics but....... I have to start a new account....

OMG, they blanked out Matsish*ta.....LMAO ----* is an i

I ratchet strapped mine also to put them back together. had no hope of getting all the old rtv off so didn't spend too much time on it.

you can put pics up on your dodgeforum album and link to them.

i'm thinking of getting the philips 4300 bulbs, let me know how they turn out. the white light I have now is going to suck in the snow.

I took my paint code off my build sheet or went to the dealer to order the rattle can color matching paint.

I used a heat gun and worked my way around the housing. A super sharp pick from a pickset was the key to getting underneath the bead. A screwdriver wouldn't cut it. Anyways, I got it mostly all cleaned up. Took about 30minutes. I was able to reform the plastic back to original shape as I went as well.

TRS gave me 6000k Mori bulbs to allow me to get my retro fit started. The philips bulbs were still at Customs. The blue/purple is neat, but it's not what my goals are. i don't like the extra blue on the sides plus it seems a little dim IMO.

Here are a few pics from the install so far(sorry for the fuzzy pics):

Low beam HID vs High beam Halogen

This is taking MUCH longer than I anticipated because the Minigun shoruds didn't fit as stated and I haven't been as dedicated as I was hoping(busy life) I also decided to add CCFL rings instead of using my homemade LED rings so they won't be here till wednesday or Thursday 22nd. I'll get all pics through out install uploaded when I'm all finished. Also, the housing/reflector bowl is very odd from any other Retro install I have seen. This was kind of a PIA, but i was able to work around it. My makeshift shrouds costs me $0.99 each at a local Grossman's Bargain outlet. I refused to pay another $45 for cheap plastic shrouds.

Also, I've chosen to go with a darker charcoal gray for my bezel paint. I'm hoping it will blend in okay????? I'm not painting the chrome reflector bowl at all as of right now.

I'll post up pics from begining to end of the install once i finish everything that way they aren't scattered all around.

I would like to have made shrouds that way, but I bought fancy house light fixtures to convert into shrouds.

Photobucket account is all fixed

Good dudes over there. they got my stuff out the same day. gave me shop bulbs so i could get my retro started. Ocular shrouds are the only one's that will properly fit FX-R projectors BTW.
