Default Tow/Haul Mode

My light doesn't come on when I push the tow/haul mode button. Need help figuring out how to make it work.

Sounds like a bad wire in the shifter or bad switch perhaps. Do the shift points not change when you try to turn it on?

When I push the switch I don't notice it shifting any differently then it was before I pushed the button. Is this controlled by a relay or fuse? When I key the key to "ON" I don't see a light on the instrument panel light up. Is it possible I don't have that option installed on the truck and I just have a button there for looks?

If driving ~45mph...you should see a slight jump in RPMs when activating the tow/haul mode.

If it has the button, it should be there. Could be a broken wire in the shifter that is keeping it from actuating.

No the truck doesn't do anything when the button is pushed. Is there a relay or fuse that it attaches to?

Could be a relay or fuse. Check the fuse panel cover. Hopefully, it's not the switch.

I don't have the user manual. Do you know what fuse it would be or if there is a diagram on the back of the fuse panel. Also where is the fuse panel?

The fuses are under the hood in a big black box. Usually near the battery. I don't know which fuse, if any, though.

It looks like the light for the Tow/Haul mode is in the center of the display cluster. It does not light up when the key is turned to "on" as well. So maybe a fuse is out since the light isn't coming on?
