there is soon to be an aftermarket mod coming to dodge ram tow mirrors, looks just like the ford mirrors blinker/running light and will be available in clear, smoked and amber with different color LEDs...whatever you want. price will run you guys around 200-300 for the install. price hasnt been decided for sure yet, and the plastic has been produced and purchased and all ready to go...lighted tow mirrors are already made....just waiting on the patent to go through so no one can steal the design. all plastic and housing designed in a CAD program and is fully legit.

sounds awesome! will they look the same as the OEM tow mirrors of the same year or will these be a completely different design? or will these only be the lighted inserts for existing tow mirrors? how long do you have before the patent is complete? it takes 12-18 months for a patent to be approved, but only takes 48 hrs to get the "patent pending" status which protects your design while you wait for official approval from the government

 

I'd be happy just to have the OEM flip-up towing mirrors I can't justify the the price of new ones. Used ones are too much as well. I need power/heated mirrors.

 

i believe you guys have taken me wrong, it is a modification to your exsisting tow mirrors...you send your mirrors in and we install recessed lighting that looks completly OEM, as does the ford superduty's

 

i love this thread I have already been looking at getting some tow mirrors as i want the added viewing ability and now being able to add turn signals is just awesome looks like i know what to ask for christmas

 

ok well as soon as the ones with the turn signal are ready ill send mine in. hell i bet we could get a huge group by in on them things. ill just have to clip on some scooter mirrors to get by until they get back

 

count me in as well. i like the idea of the smoked lights but would like to see pics of each style offered as soon as they become available. if there's a group buy forming i wanna be on that list too be sure to keep us posted!

 

Do you have any pictures of the lights installed in the mirrors?
And mmstar, have you posted up any pictures of your CTD anywhere? Didn't know you got that until now.
